Tudor Prince Oysterdate Automatic Watch

Here is a Tudor Prince Oysterdate Reference 9050/0 automatic watch. It is on an aftermarket “jubilee” bracelet. It features a blue dial with patina powered by a Tudor ETA 2784 automatic movement.

This 34mm watch is a classic Tudor with Rolex signed features, including the oyster case and crown featuring the Rolex coronet. It has a date complication with ability to quickset.

Opinion:
I have a very soft spot in my heart for vintage Tudor watches with the Rolex case signatures. They perpetuate timeless Rolex design without the… implication… of wearing a pure Rolex. Normally I gravitate towards ones with the Tudor Rose, but the shield emblem is cool to me, too. The blue dial is very nice and the wear it has is more “patina” than damage to me. This watch is perfect for every day use and would look great in a formal setting as well.

This watch sort of ran when I got it and needed a service. The mainspring had broken and was replaced. The ETA 2784 movement was in great shape otherwise and it only needed the basics.

Basics here means indeed the entire movement was stripped down to the bones and cleaned in a watch cleaning machine, dried, and reassembled with new lubrication throughout.

Note the crystal is replaced as the one it came to me with did not have a cyclops and very much wasn’t original.
As I got the watch head-only, I have put an aftermarket (i.e, fake fake fake) Tudor branded jubilee type bracelet on it which I guess you can get easily on amazon. The good news is you need not put too much care into maintaining this bracelet as a new one can be had for $50 or so. You can find original type 18mm bracelets on eBay for a few hundred bucks.

While I will not alienate potential buyers, due to the under-market-price of this watch, I want to avoid selling to resellers. Please just let me know who you are and why you want it.

Please note: I am not a professional watchmaker. I am very much an amateur and therefor pricing reflects works performed but lower than market to account for the following things you should remember:
1. There is no guarantee of perfection
2. The watch is still sold “as-is”, with no returns
3. Vintage watches rarely keep perfect time over many days.
4. The goal of these sales is to buy a watch, experience fixing it and giving it new life, and sell it under market price to fellow enthusiasts and/or fans of my shop. The lions share of these sales funds my watch buying fund to continue to offer fun watches for sale. Your purchase (hopefully) helps one less person wear a smart watch.
5. Buying a watch from me will gain you no “points” or favorability at Rosen Sound.

Warranty: I will be more than happy to check out this watch again if necessary within 3 years of purchase assuming you did not drop it or break it yourself somehow.
