Omega Geneve Burgundy Dial – For Sale

Heres a very cool Omega Geneve watch. The case reference is 136.041. It features the Omega Caliber 613 manual wind movement.

This is a 34mm watch featuring a gold case, acrylic crystal, and an apparently rare burgundy “checkered” dial. The date complication on this watch is unlike any other I’ve seen, in that there is not a typical quickset based on turning the crown, but rather than the crown is pulled to it’s furthest setting, a small hammer ticks the date forward. The time setting is done in the middle setting lever position.

Normally I am “bracelets only” but the leather strap on this watch is still in great condition and is branded Omega, likely original to the watch, and deserves to stay on.

Opinion:
This is a really cool watch and should go to someone who will appreciate it’s unique style. Perfect as a dress watch or even as an every day. The subtle checkered pattern on the dial reminds me of data packets on an oscilloscope when troubleshooting a synth, or even kind of like square waves. So, a synth enthusiast should buy this watch!

This watch was a non runner when I got it, and came back to life with only a basic servicing.

Works to this watch included a full disassembly, full cleaning, new lubrication throughout, a new mainspring, new gaskets, and a light chemical polish (no abrasives).

While I will not alienate potential buyers, due to the under-market-price of this watch, I want to avoid selling to resellers. Please just let me know who you are and why you want it.

Please note: I am not a professional watchmaker. I am very much an amateur and therefor pricing reflects works performed but lower than market to account for the following things you should remember:
1. There is no guarantee of perfection
2. The watch is still sold “as-is”, with no returns
3. Vintage watches rarely keep perfect time over many days.
4. The goal of these sales is to buy a watch, experience fixing it and giving it new life, and sell it under market price to fellow enthusiasts and/or fans of my shop. The lions share of these sales funds my watch buying fund to continue to offer fun watches for sale. Your purchase (hopefully) helps one less person wear a smart watch.
5. Buying a watch from me will gain you no “points” or favorability at Rosen Sound.

Warranty: I will be more than happy to check out this watch again if necessary within 3 years of purchase assuming you did not drop it or break it yourself somehow.
